What's On...

We joined with other Paris churches for our Palm Sunday walk through downtown Paris.

Annual Meeting Highlights
- Interim report from the Joint Needs Assessment Committee – contact Ken Cox or Jane Field if you would like a copy.
- Update on St. Paul’s Place – progress toward a sale has been delayed while we gain a greater understanding from Presbytery of our ability to use the proceeds from such a sale.
- Motions approved at the June congregational meeting on a trial basis were approved for continuation except that the balcony will not be closed. New open space at the back of the sanctuary, coffee before worship and nametags will continue.
- We took a moment to celebrate significant bequests from the estates of H. Lloyd Brooks and the Schuyler family.
- Budget for 2010 was approved projecting a significant deficit. Average givings are strong compared to previous years however total numbers of givers has declined greatly. See the Annual Report page 42 for details.
- David Boyd took on the role of Council Chair.
A more detailed one page summary of the highlights is available at the Church Office.
Copies of the Annual Report also still available at the church.

Summertime Fun!
St. Paul's Slo Pitch team celebrates a win at the Cedar House.
Waiting for a turn at bat. St. Paul's Slo Pitch team finished in 4th place this year which is the best finish for the team in many years. The team is coached by Don VanStone and Dave Boyd. Sitting in the dugout are: Dan Weaver, John Weaver, Joan Hansen, Cory Hansen, Katie Hansen andTannis Hamill.
St. Paul's hosted a golf tournament and barbecue in the summer. The best ball tournament was held at Northridge and saw 6 teams competing in the rain. Forty-five people enjoyed a barbecue between showers allowing us to have an amazing double rainbow.
Pictured here is the winning team of Brent Linington, Steve Bohar, Sheri Kerr and Ian Kerr. Other winners were: Cory Hansen for the longest drive and Steve Bohar for closest to the pin. Next summer will be the car rally and barbecue.

Thank you!

To all who participated in last spring's Congregational meeting. Many people voiced their opinions, we all listened and we voted on the recommendations. Over 90% of the votes cast on each recommendation were in agreement. Click HERE for a summary of the results.
